There's a Fire

I like 'The Message' translation of Luke 3:16-17

But John intervened: "I'm baptizing you here in the river. The main character in this drama, to whom I'm a mere stagehand, will ignite the kingdom life, a fire, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He's going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He'll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false he'll put out with the trash to be burned."

My simple questions and encouragement today is simply this - Do you have determination in your relationship with God? To allow him by his Holy Spirit to change you from the inside out? To set you on fire with Kingdom Life? Let's not slip backwards to the former but let him put all in the proper place!

Give your life again to God and ask him to show you any rooms in your house (your heart and life) that aren't quite yet on Fire!
